“Allow the tooth to heal itself”
GCP makes this possible
A team of dentists, chemists and scientists (from various research institutes) set out to “develop a dental restorative material which would allow the tooth to regenerate itself to the original element or even better”. A first precondition was the elimination of toxic materials. This objective was established in 2002. It became evident that Fluoride Aluminium-Silicate Glass, along with the patented liquid and Nano-Fluoride-/Hydroxyapatite additives, provide the most suitable initiator for the regeneration of the natural tooth structure, through biomimetic processes. With Glass Carbomer® Tech, utilizing the natural processes of mineralization, we are able to create an entirely biological structure that has properties (such as hardness, durability, strength and acid resistance) equivalent to natural dentition.
GCP opts for natural aesthetic
With traditional composite, a dentist chooses for an immediate aesthetic that deteriorates over time. With GCP Glass Fill (which initially appears somewhat opaque due to the addition of Nano-Fluoride-/Hydroxyapatite) a process of natural mineralization takes place whereby transparency gradually increases to match with the surrounding dentition, thus forming part of an overall healing process.
High-tech, yet easy to use
Glass Carbomer is the first dental restoration material that makes use of natural mineralization processes (biomimetic). In addition to being “autocure”, the products can be hardened instantly by means of a high-energy LED lamp we have specifically designed for this purpose.
Preparatory treatment is not necessary. Initial protection is achieved using a biocompatible sealer.
Glass Carbomer® Tech is used in GCP Glass Fill, Seal, and GCP Crown and Bridge cements. All these materials are free of toxic and carcinogenic substances such as monomers and Bisphenol-A.
